Hi, I’m Daphne Monro. I’m Head of Website & Content at hosting.com, where I lead a global team across development, CRO, SEO, and content. My work focuses on making websites faster, clearer, and more effective. From large-scale migrations and rebrands to everyday improvements that boost conversions.
I’ve managed projects spanning multiple markets, overseen international content strategies, and built cross-functional teams that deliver measurable results. Beyond the numbers, I care about clear communication, practical solutions, and helping both businesses and people grow.
Catch me at BrightonSEO on Friday, 24 October at 15:20 (Skyline stage), where I’ll be speaking as part of the Crawling & Indexation track. I’ll be sharing how we successfully migrated A2 Hosting to hosting.com – a complex rebrand that involved consolidating high-performing domains without losing SEO authority. Expect practical insights on managing large-scale migrations, protecting organic visibility, and rebuilding technical foundations for long-term growth.
Join me at MKGO #8 on Thursday, 13 November 2025 at 5:30pm for my talk, “The Future of Search.” With YouTube citations in Google’s AI Overviews up 25% since early 2024 and users increasingly turning to TikTok and YouTube as their go-to search platforms, it’s clear that rich media is redefining SEO. In this session, we’ll explore how video content drives higher click-through rates, longer dwell times, and stronger rankings across both Google and generative AI engines. We’ll dive into how transcripts make videos more indexable, accessible, and discoverable — and why that matters for both traditional SERPs and LLM results.
Explore my latest insights, case studies, webinars, and industry recognition. From awards highlights to practical strategies, this section brings together updates and resources that showcase where marketing meets technology and user experience.

I bridge marketing and development, so strategy translates into measurable impact. Alongside this, I lead and grow high-performing teams, building clear processes and agile workflows that deliver results at scale — increasing sales, driving revenue growth, and improving ROI.
I define the voice and narrative for brands, shaping how they communicate across websites, blogs, webinars, in person events and campaigns. My focus is on creating content that balances clarity with authority; the kind of thought leadership that positions a company as trusted, while keeping the message simple and human.
I work across the technical layer of websites. From tech SEO and site performance to front-end development. I scope and manage large migrations, oversee site architecture, and plan agile sprints. On the execution side, I write and refine specs, test features, and collaborate directly with developers on navigation systems, pricing widgets, and dynamic content.
I’ve built and led cross-functional teams of developers, marketers, and specialists. My approach is pragmatic and collaborative: setting clear goals, creating space for people to thrive, and holding us accountable to results. I enjoy mentoring, sharing knowledge, and building cultures where people feel energised to do their best work while continueing to learn and grow.
Through our company's acquisition, I learned I was reporting to Daphne. In my 30 year career, she'll go down as one of the best leaders I've ever had. And I'm so thankful for her. I've learned so much from her, just watching her in action. For one, how to have the tough conversations when necessary and how to keep things moving forward, together. She leads her teams to get the work done by taking care of her people who always want to go the extra mile for her. It's a winning formula for everyone. She's a passionate expert in SEO and content, an excellent communicator to all levels from C-suite, boards, teams, customers, and a positive and powerful force in the workplace. A pro's pro. A leader's leader. I'll be watching her career as she's just now on her rapid ascent.
Daphne becoming my manager has been nothing short of one of the best things to happen in my career.
She has put her trust in me as a channel expert, communicator and friend. Given me guidance on how to be the most confident version of myself, and advocated for myself and my work across WHG.
Our time working has been short but sweet
However I truly have gained a mentor and friend for life.
I had the absolute pleasure of working with Daphne at Hosting.com. She’s an incredible teammate and a strong, supportive leader who always brought positivity and focus, even when things got tough. What stood out most was how much she cared about her team, always putting their best interests first, working hard to meet deadlines, and speaking up when it mattered. Her dedication and resilience really inspired me. On top of that, Daphne is an absolute pro at SEO. I learned so much from her expertise and guidance, and I’ll always value the knowledge she shared. A true leader who leads with both skill and heart.
